This month we shine a light on a previous remix we commissioned. We were asked by Warner Music to find a remix for Dua Lipa’s smash single ‘Physical’ off her 2020 album Future Nostalgia. We knew we needed a remixer that would have a strong international reach and possess the fire power needed to match Dua’s sound. Alok was at the top of our list. Globally recognised for his feverish EDM sound which has amassed over 250 billion streams worldwide and 22 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
His rework of ‘Physical’ completely delivered. Blending the original vocal with his patented big-room, electronic-fused sound, Alok created an offering that was inspiring. Since then the remix has been enjoyed by his loyal South American fanbase before crossing over worldwide. Alok’s flip has now amassed over 60 million streams on all DSPs and still supported by Radio and Clubland DJs.
