At Playlist we are always looking for artists that manage to carve out a unique and distintive style that stands out from the crowd. Shook is most definitely in this category and you only have to have a quick scan through his remix discography to see that we are not the only ones who hold such a high opinion of this young dutch producer.
Shook grew up listening to many of the greats including Michael Jackson, Prince and George Gerswin and you can instantly hear all of these influences in his music. He took up the piano at an early age and has become an extremely talented Jazz pianist which is evident from the soaring keys solos that you will hear in many of his remixes.
His remix for Ellie Goulding – Lights has received over 410,000 plays on Soundcloud and he has regularly topped the Hype Machine creating a vast global fan base in the process.
