As part of our consultancy with Decca Records we were asked to commission a remix for Jorja Smith’s amazing rendition of St Germain – Rose Rouge which was part of the Blue Note Reimagined series. We came up with a shortlist of producers who we thought could do the record justice and the top of that list was none other than Joy Orbison.
Joy was very excited by the idea from the jump and he created a hypnotic version using Jorja’s beautiful vocals and his patented underground, garage-inspired grooves and basslines.
The remix is out now and has already received huge club support alongside DSP support which includes Altar on Spotify.
