We were asked by our good friends over at Atlantic to find a D&B remix of Birdy’s track, “Paradise Is Calling” the lead track on her fifth studio album, Portraits.
D&B legend High Contrast fits the bill for this one, with his patented liquid d’n’b, tight production and ability to add fresh energy around beautiful vocals. High Contrast grabs the listener’s attention immediately with a stripped back vocal that builds into the sound he is most known for. This results in a rework that really pushes Birdy’s sound forward while still giving a strong nod to the honesty, vulnerability and creativity of the original.
