Electric Guest - This Head I Hold (Nu:Logic Remix)

As part of our consultancy services for Warner Bros. we were given the original mix of Electric Guest – This Head I Hold and asked to provide remix ideas that would gain support from specialist radio DJs such as Zane Lowe and Annie Mac.

After listening to the track we thought that a drum and bass mix would compliment the track really well and give us a great chance of support from the specialist shows whilst also providing the scope for other promotional opportunities.

We provided a list of suggestions to the label, one of which was the collaboration project between Nu:Tone & Logistics called Nu:Logic. We sent the track over to the Nu:Logic guys and fortunately they loved it.

We commissioned the remix and they delivered a stunning rework which myself and the label agreed was perfect for the audience we were targeting.

The remix was a huge success with Zane Lowe premiering the remix on his Tuesday night show and then 3 days after Annie Mac played the remix on her show alongside an online premiere by UKF Drum and Bass on the same day which amounted to 70,000 plays in the first 3 days.

The remix then continued to get plays across Radio 1 and 1Xtra and received some great support on the blogs.
