Through our consultancy work with Virgin Records, we were recently asked to commission a remix for Alison Wonderland’s single release of ‘Take It To Reality’ from her recently released album ‘Run’. Our specification for the remix was that it should help to build awareness about Alison at UK specialist radio.
We decided that LA-based, deep house producer Justin Jay would be ideal to create a remix for Alison’s song and the result can be heard below. Justin Jay’s remix makes for a dynamic and head-bopping track that is sure to catch the attention of listeners online, on the radio and in the club. Teaming up with friend and jazz/blues guitarist Benny Bridges, the remix gives the song a completely different vibe, with the unique combination of hard-edged beats and electro rock guitar riffs giving it a whole new sound altogether.
The song has had good reception from not only influential tastemakers in the industry but music lovers alike, with the track being premiered on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio1 show, making it to number 3 on the much-loved Hype Machine and racking up over 200,000 listens on Soundcloud alone.
